Me Morsella has over 30 years of experience in family law, elder law, estate law and civil litigation. Me Morsella was born in Italy but grew up in Montreal where she attended McGill University earning a B.A. in History and Political Science. She studied civil law at the University of Rome (La Sapienza) and she obtained an LL.B. Law Degree at the University of Quebec in Montreal.
Me Margherita Morsella is both a strong litigator and negotiator. She is dedicated to understanding her client’s needs and providing them with the best possible representation. At our firm, she is consulted on many files and her wealth of experience is valued tremendously.
Me Morsella has been a member of the Association of Family Law Lawyers of Quebec since 1990 and the Association of Italian Canadian Jurists since 2002. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of the National Italian American Bar Association and is a Governor of the Quebec Bar Foundation.
Me Morsella is a dedicated community activist and very committed to access to justice. She was a founding member of both the Italian Women’s Centre (now known as the Centre des femmes solidaires et engagées) in Montreal in 1977 and of the Immigrant Women’s Cooperative in 1984. She volunteered at the Head and Hands legal clinic for almost 20 years and has been volunteering at the legal clinic of the Women’s Centre of Montreal since 1993.
Me Morsella was on the Board of Directors of the National Congress of Italian Canadians between 2008 and 2013 and on the Board of Directors of the Association of Italian Canadian Jurists for a period of 10 years. As a member of the Association of Italian Canadian Writers she organized and chaired Literary Salons, attended conferences and was a delegate at various conferences in Montreal, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Toronto between 1994 and 2012. In 1991 Me Morsella was the Vice-President in Quebec of the Immigrant and Visible Minority Women’s Association.
Founding Member of Alliance Donne composed of inspiring women active within the community.
Member of a Working Committee within the National Committee on Elder Abuse.
Gave four Radio Interviews on Elder Abuse on Cfmb Radio Montreal.
